Schlegel extruded weather seals range from semi-rigid Polyflex profiles to flexible Aptus parts. Polyflex seals are extruded polypropylene profiles. Their major function is to protect against air infiltration and water penetration.

Aptus Weather Seals
Aptus seals are extruded thermoplastic elastomers, or TPEs. Aptus seals include hollow bulb, leaf, and dual-durometer profiles.

• Flexible leaves and bulbs act as mechanical seals with little resistance
• Variety of sizes, colors and mounting options
• Conforms to the shape of the sealing surface better than a rigid part
• Has a slip-coating that decreases operating force in sliding and sweeping applications

Polyflex
Polyflex seals are extruded polypropylene profiles and offer a cost advantage. Their major function is to protect against air infiltration and water penetration.

• Variety of shapes, sizes, colors, mounting options, and applications
• Low coefficient of friction
• Ideal for use as a secondary seal to shed water create a pressure drop, or redirect air flow
• Eliminates the "Sing" or whistle" caused by typical weatherstrip vibration.
