A Real Glazing Seal Option

A Real Glazing Seal Option

Posted on 4/03/2014

The Fensterbau exhibition has given Schlegel International the opportunity to show the unique benefits of its range of Nova-Seal glazing and weatherseals.  The product has been manufactured by Schlegel in Europe for some years but has only ever been promoted to a limited audience.  At Fensterbau, more people will be able to see the benefits of Nova-Seal for themselves for the first time.

The Nova-Seal range consists of a series of products that use the combination of Polypropylene and/or TPE extrusions with PU foam.  This gives the product the combined benefits of extruded and foam weatherseals.  When used in glazing applications, the foam element adds superior gap filling and recovery performance, the polypropylene body acts as a carrier and provides ease of insertion and close fitting to the profile, whilst the more elastic TPE ensures a perfect finish between glass and frame.

Many companies will simply choose EPDM or even hand applied Silicone sealant for most glazing seal applications but now there is an alternative, Nova-Seal.  It has advantages over both of the more usual options, being available in a number of colours and is easily replaceable, especially when replacing a damaged or inefficient glass sealed unit.  If there is nothing in the existing Nova-Seal range to suit your particular application, the Schlegel design and engineering team can work with you to create a unique product for your profile design.

Nova-Seal is just one of the sealing technologies on show at the Schlegel Fensterbau stand.  The company offers a range of extruded, foam and pile seals.

The Schlegel International stand can be found in the large Hall 7 (stand 7-328) at the exhibition which runs from Wednesday 26th March (09.00 to 18.00) until Saturday 29th March (09.00 to 17.00).

If you would like to visit the show, please speak to your Sales Manager to get your Free entrance pass.
