The fabrics are manufactured in continuous lengths. Completing them with finishing operations such as back coating, slitting, cutting and co-extrusion enables us to provide ready-to-install components.
- Dust and environmental seals for office equipment, car interiors, car sunroofs and vacuum cleaner nozzles
- Toner seals for printers and copiers
- Teflon pile seals for toner cartridges that also act as grease-free bearings
- Light seal velvet for microfilms, photographic equipment and photosensitive paper packaging
- Head cleaning pads for inkjet printers - ATM machines
To clean printing heads, optical eyes in inject printers and ATM machines, Schlegel has developed special fabrics custom designed using all types of pile fibre materials such as Nylons, Acrylics, Modacrylics, Teflon, Aramid fibres and or a blend of above. The fabrics do have a cleaning sealing function and also can increase the time an inkjet printer stays within register by a factor of 4.
The density and finishing depends on yarn selected, design and application. Products can be kiss cut, self stick,non self stick mounted on a holder etc.
Schlegel offers the benefits of over 20 years unrivalled experience in the manufacture of a polyurethane foam seal with a vinyl out skin ('clad foam') that is still unmatched today. While the foam offers superb long-term resilience and sealing properties, the skin protects the foam and serves as a barrier for moisture, air, dust and toner.
What's more, the foam formulation provides outstanding acoustic insulation and absorption.
Schlegel also manufactures a range of thermoplastic elastomer seals, offering a wide spectrum of dual and triple extrusion. Likewise, co-extrusion, ultrasonic welding and gluing are used to provide an extensive selection of fabric and foam combinations.
