Just before the Fensterbau exhibition, which took place from 26 until 29 March 2014 in Nuremberg, Schlegel International has become partner of “deutsche PassivHaus transfer” (dPHt).
Worldwide it is acknowledged that a passive house meets the highest criteria in energy saving.
dPHt is a German platform of manufacturers who jointly promote their products for use in passive house construction. Next to that dPHt offers passive house related seminars for architects, building engineers and workers, consultancy services including the selection of suitable materials and components such as seals, quality assurance and patents and licenses for energy saving doors and windows.
Will Spaninks, Marketing Manager and coordinator of dPHt activities for Schlegel International: “The passive house standard was already conceived several decades ago. A lot of experience has been built up since in Germany. With the support of the looming economic recovery and an increasing awareness that rigorous energy saving is required, it is a good moment for further international promotion of the passive house standard and our dedicated product portfolio.”
Over many years, Schlegel has built a solid reputation as the manufacturer of the world’s best seal, Q-Lon. Due to their low thermal conductivity, Q-Lon PU foam seals make a significant contribution to energy saving. Schlegel International is therefore a proud member and avid supporter of dPHt activities worldwide, including at Fensterbau 2014 in Nuremberg or the 18th International Passive House Conference in Aachen.
