Schlegel sealing solutions built for interior applications
Schlegel’s interior application seals cover internal doors, fitted furniture and window covering products. Q-LON polyurethane foam seals are used as extra insulation to prevent air, dust, light and other contaminants from entering the gaps. The product is attached to the door frame creating a seal when the door is closed. Q-LON is manufactured under ISO 9001 quality management and backed by a 10-year guarantee. Q-LON composite gaskets are also proven across sectors including construction, transport and HVAC.

Standard and extended colour options for interior seals
Q-LON gaskets for shutter and interior applications are available in a wide range of colours via the weather-resistant embossed polyethylene outer liner. They include brown, white, black, silver, beige, light oak and further colours available on request.

Q-LON foam seals for internal doors and furniture
Q-LON is a polyurethane foam core seal with an embossed polyethylene outer liner. Used across internal timber door frames, cabinet rebates and partition systems, it maintains its profile after prolonged compression, resists paint and stain, and carries a 10-year manufacturer guarantee. Products are manufactured under ISO 9001:2008 quality management.
EN 12365:2003 compliance and CE marking support
All Schlegel seals for interior applications are designed to comply with EN 12365:2003, the European standard for gasket and weatherstripping performance in fenestration. Schlegel’s testing facilities in Hamburg are accredited by ift Rosenheim. Products support fabricators in meeting EN 14351-1:2016 CE marking requirements for air permeability, water tightness and durability.

As well as interior applications, Q-LON composite gaskets are also proven across a wide range of sectors and applications, from airtight, fire-rated sealing for insulated wall panels and glazed partition systems, to window and door sealing in buses, trains, yachts and construction vehicles, as well as reducing conditioned air loss, dampening mechanical vibration and protecting outdoor HVAC units from water infiltration and UV degradation.

Schlegel supplies three purpose-built tools to support professional Q-LON fitting. The Q-LON Mitre Cutter produces clean, accurate corner cuts. The Q-LON Insertion Roller seats the seal uniformly into its groove. The Q-LON Overlap Insertion Roller handles overlap joints where two seal lengths meet.
Yes. The polyethylene outer film resists paints, detergents and dyes. Seal performance is not affected by overpainting, making Q-LON suitable for interior refurbishment projects.
Q-LON Fire Retardant is classified to EN 13501-1 Class E. It slows flame spread and prevents the release of flammable material, making it suitable for fire-door and partition specifications.
Q-LON gaskets are available in multiple colours via the embossed polyethylene outer liner, including brown, white, black, silver, beige, light oak, and with further colours available on request.
Q-LON seals carry a 10-year guarantee and retain their properties after more than 10,000 opening and closing cycles.
