EN 12365 classified across the full range

Every Schlegel seal carries a published six-digit EN 12365 classification covering working range, compression force, temperature range, deflection recovery and recovery after ageing, giving specifiers verified data to meet CE marking requirements.

Three sealing technologies, one supplier

Q-LON foam, polypropylene brush pile and extruded TPE/silicone profiles are all designed and manufactured within the Schlegel group, so fabricators source compression seals, sliding seals and gaskets from a single accredited manufacturer.

Dedicated products for all fenestration frame materials

Separate product lines cover timber, aluminium and uPVC frames. Each is engineered for the specific groove dimensions, surface finishes and performance demands of that material type, rather than adapted from a generic profile.

Fire-rated sealing without compromising weather performance

Q-LON Fire Retardant maintains the deflection recovery and air-sealing properties of the standard Q-LON range while achieving EN 13501-1 Class E classification, meeting the requirements of both building regulations and window energy performance standards.

Technical support for specification and selection

Schlegel's technical team supports product designers, fabricators and installers with seal selection guidance, EN 12365 classification data and thermal conductivity values to EN ISO 10077-1 for inclusion in window energy calculations.

Q-LON polyurethane foam seals

Q-LON is Schlegel’s polyurethane foam weatherseal with a weather-resistant polyethylene liner for long-lasting performance. Designed for timber, aluminium and uPVC windows and doors, it is available in kerf-fit, surface-fit and self-adhesive options. Q-LON recovers after compression in extreme temperatures. Q-LON FR meets EN 13501-1 Class E, while all seals offer a minimum 10-year lifespan and can be painted or stained.

Brush pile seals: woven and extruded formats

Schlegel’s brush pile seals include woven and extruded options for a wide range of sliding applications. Manufactured from UV-stable homopolymer polypropylene, they deliver reliable long-term performance. Woven seals feature fabric backings, while extruded versions use polypropylene or PVC-u carriers. Silicone-treated options resist water, mould and mildew, with fin configurations available to improve air-tightness where required.

Extruded seals: Lozaron, Nova-Seal and Foam-Tite

Schlegel’s Lozaron sealing range includes TPE, foamed TPE, polypropylene and silicone profiles for timber, uPVC and aluminium systems. Selected profiles combine Poly-Bond brush pile or Q-LON foam within a single carrier. The range also includes Nova-Seal for timber glazing applications and Foam-Tite compression seals in multiple profiles for dependable weather protection across modern frame systems.
