Key Benefits

Independent pile fibres seal against uneven surfaces

Each fibre moves separately, maintaining contact across irregular or moving frame surfaces.

Low friction for smooth sliding window and door operation

Silicone-treated PP yarn reduces surface drag when sliding

Mould, mildew and water resistance built into the yarn

PP pile treated with silicone repels moisture and resists biological growth over time.

UV stable and chemically inert for long service life

Polypropylene construction resists UV degradation and chemical exposure without deterioration.

Optional fins reduce air infiltration

Central or lateral fins on Fin-Seal and Shutter-Pile products deliver measurably tighter air sealing.

Compatible with aluminium, PVC and timber frames

Backing widths of 4.8 mm, 6.7 mm and 6.9 mm cover the kerf dimensions used across all three main frame materials.

Surface-fit and kerf-slot combination brush pile seals explained

Schlegel combination brush pile seals are available in surface-fit and kerf-slot configurations. Surface-fit options are ideal for retrofit and replacement projects on aluminium, PVC and timber frames, while kerf-slot versions are designed for new window and door manufacture, providing secure, reliable installation across a wide range of applications.
