The Poly-Bond (PB) series uses a soft multifilament polypropylene pile yarn on a woven, reinforced translucent backing, making it suitable for sliding windows, sliding doors, window coverings and furniture. An optional hot-melt adhesive backing simplifies installation without additional fixings. The Fin-Seal (FS) builds on this with one or two integrated polypropylene fins at centre position, improving air tightness across sliding window and door applications. Backing widths of 4.8 mm, 6.7 mm and 6.9 mm are standard, with brush heights from 3.0 mm to 15.0 mm in 0.5 mm increments up to 8 mm, and 1.0 mm increments beyond that.
Schlegel’s extruded brush pile range is designed for fabricators using automated machine insertion, ensuring precise on-centre pile positioning for consistent fitment. Options include the silicone-treated G3, high-performance G3-QF Quadrafin, fin-free Power-Pile with optional adhesive backing, and Bi-Fin with dual lateral fins for enhanced yarn protection and superior weather sealing in demanding sliding applications.
Beyond its core sliding window and door range, Schlegel offers specialist brush pile seals for unique applications. These include Angle-Pile for insect screen channels, Dust-Plug for aluminium sliding door corners, Shutter-Pile for roller shutters, flexible coilable Flex-Brush for curved installations, and extruded Skirting-Fringe for narrow-base skirting and fringe sealing where reliable performance is essential.
