Q-LON is guaranteed for 10 years
The Schlegel Q-LON gasket, proudly made in the UK, is crafted from a unique polyurethane foam encased in weather-resistant polyethylene liner.
As the original innovation of its kind, Q-LON sets the standard for quality and performance in sealing solutions.
Q-LONs do not contain SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) in a concentration above 0.1% by weight.
Smooth or embossed surface. Weather and UV-resistant.
High durability, superior recovery performance.
Prevents elongation and shrinkage,
Brush pile seals are available in standard colours including White, Brown, Grey and Black. Non-standard multifilament yarn options include Ivory, Iron Grey, Dark Beige and Sepia Brown. Q-LON foam seals carry a weather-resistant polyethylene liner available across a wide colour range to match timber, aluminium and uPVC frame finishes.
The table below maps each Schlegel product range to its recommended application, frame material and fitment method. Use it alongside the full performance data in the downloadable brochure.

Q-LON is Schlegel's polyurethane foam gasket, made with a special foam core and weather-resistant polyethylene liner, available for timber, aluminium and uPVC frames. Q-LON Fire Retardant profiles are classified to EN 13501-1 Class E. Brush pile seals, made from polypropylene with optional silicone treatment, seal against moving elements and uneven surfaces. The extruded seal range combines TPE, foamed TPE, polypropylene and silicone profiles for fenestration, window covering and industrial applications.
Q-LON is Schlegel’s polyurethane foam weatherseal with a weather-resistant polyethylene liner for long-lasting performance. Designed for timber, aluminium and uPVC windows and doors, it is available in kerf-fit, surface-fit and self-adhesive options. Q-LON recovers after compression in extreme temperatures. Q-LON FR meets EN 13501-1 Class E, while all seals offer a minimum 10-year lifespan and can be painted or stained.
Schlegel’s brush pile seals include woven and extruded options for a wide range of sliding applications. Manufactured from UV-stable homopolymer polypropylene, they deliver reliable long-term performance. Woven seals feature fabric backings, while extruded versions use polypropylene or PVC-u carriers. Silicone-treated options resist water, mould and mildew, with fin configurations available to improve air-tightness where required.
Schlegel’s Lozaron sealing range includes TPE, foamed TPE, polypropylene and silicone profiles for timber, uPVC and aluminium systems. Selected profiles combine Poly-Bond brush pile or Q-LON foam within a single carrier. The range also includes Nova-Seal for timber glazing applications and Foam-Tite compression seals in multiple profiles for dependable weather protection across modern frame systems.
