Independent pile fibres seal against uneven surfaces
Each fibre moves separately, maintaining contact across irregular or moving frame surfaces.

Schlegel woven brush pile seals combine soft polypropylene multifilament yarns with a reinforced translucent woven backing to deliver reliable sealing. Independently moving fibres adapt to irregular surfaces, maintaining consistent draught protection. Manufactured to ISO 9001 standards, every seal is backed by Schlegel’s 10-year guarantee.
Standard soft multifilament yarn colours include grey and black while non-standard multifilament colours, available subject to minimum order quantities, include white, brown and beige. Contact our team for lead times and minimum order requirements on non-standard colours.
Use the table below to match each Schlegel woven brush pile product to its intended opening type and frame material. All woven-base products share a backing width of 4.8mm, 6.7mm or 6.9mm and a brush height range of 3.0mm to 15.0mm.

Silicone-treated PP yarn reduces surface drag when sliding
PP pile treated with silicone repels moisture and resists biological growth over time.
Polypropylene construction resists UV degradation and chemical exposure without deterioration.
Central or lateral fins on Fin-Seal and Shutter-Pile products deliver measurably tighter air sealing.
Backing widths of 4.8 mm, 6.7 mm and 6.9 mm cover the kerf dimensions used across all three main frame materials.
All Schlegel woven brush pile seals are made from polypropylene multifilament yarn woven into a reinforced translucent backing. The PP fibre resists abrasion and static build-up, making it suited to high-cycle sliding applications. Optional silicone treatment of the yarn further reduces friction and prevents water ingress, mould and mildew accumulation over the product’s service life.
Poly-Bond delivers dependable sealing for standard sliding windows, doors and furniture channels. Fin-Seal enhances performance with two welded clear centre fins, reducing air infiltration when compared with standard brush pile. It is ideal for improved EN 12365 draught-resistance compliance and wider sash-to-frame gaps.
Schlegel manufactures woven brush pile seals to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, backed by a 10-year guarantee. ift Rosenheim-accredited testing at SchlegelGiesse in Hamburg provides independently verified EN 12365 performance data, supporting reliable window and door CE marking compliance.

All Schlegel woven brush pile seals use polypropylene multifilament yarn on a woven reinforced translucent backing. PP provides abrasion resistance, low friction and chemical inertness across the product's full service life.
Poly-Bond (PB) or Fin-Seal (FS) in a 4.8 mm, 6.7 mm or 6.9 mm base width are the standard specification for aluminium sliding doors. Fin-Seal adds centre fins where tighter air infiltration performance is required.
Yes. Poly-Bond, Fin-Seal and Dust-Plug are all available with optional hot-melt adhesive backing for surface-mounted installation where a kerf slot is not present in the frame profile.
