Key Benefits

Coilable for curved and complex installations

Flex-Brush coils flat for storage and bends to follow curved door frames and escalator edges without kinking.

Low friction for smooth sliding window and door operation

Silicone-treated PP yarn reduces surface drag when sliding

Mould, mildew and water resistance built into the yarn

PP pile treated with silicone repels moisture and resists biological growth over time.

UV stable and chemically inert for long service life

Polypropylene construction resists UV degradation and chemical exposure without deterioration.

Backed by Schlegel's 10-year product guarantee

Every Flex-Brush coilable pile seal carries Schlegel's 10-year guarantee, supported by ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified manufacturing.

How coilable brush pile seals differ from standard extruded pile seals

Standard extruded brush pile seals are available in rigid and semi-rigid profiles for straight window and door channels. Schlegel Flex-Brush features a flexible, coilable extruded base that follows curved geometries, making it ideal for revolving doors, circular openings, escalators and garage door perimeter sealing applications.

Where Flex-Brush coilable pile seals are specified

Schlegel Flex-Brush is specified for commercial, industrial and architectural sealing applications. Its flexible design makes it ideal for revolving door perimeters, escalator side skirt panels, and garage or industrial doors, delivering reliable sealing wherever curved, irregular or complex track paths prevent the use of rigid brush pile profiles.

Polypropylene pile: the material behind the seal's performance

All Schlegel brush pile seals, including Flex-Brush, are made from virgin polypropylene yarn. PP pile fibres move independently, sealing effectively against moving surfaces and uneven contact faces. The material carries excellent resistance to abrasion and static build-up, and when silicone-treated, actively repels water, mould and mildew across the product’s service life.
