Shutters and partitions demand seals that perform reliably against moving elements, uneven surfaces and repeated cycling. Schlegel’s Q-LON foam profiles are engineered for exactly these conditions, covering aluminium, PVC, timber and steel frames to EN 12365-1 2003. Q-LON gaskets for shutter and partition applications are available in a wide range of colours via the weather-resistant embossed polyethylene outer liner. They include brown, white, black, silver, beige, light oak and further colours available on request.

Q-LON foam seals for compression-fit partition and shutter assemblies
Q-LON polyurethane foam profiles suit hinged, folding and compression-close partition systems where an airtight, thermally efficient seal is required at the closed position. The polyethylene outer film resists paints, detergents and dyes, so decorative maintenance of the surrounding frame does not compromise seal performance.
Fire-retardant variants
Fire-retardant variants of Q-LON polyurethane foam profiles classified to EN 13501-1 Class E are available for partition assemblies in buildings where fire compartmentalisation is a regulatory requirement.
Proven in other sectors
As well as shutters and partitions, Q-LON composite gaskets are also proven across a wide range of sectors and applications, from airtight, fire-rated sealing for insulated wall panels and glazed partition systems, to window and door sealing in buses, trains, yachts and construction vehicles, as well as reducing conditioned air loss, dampening mechanical vibration and protecting outdoor HVAC units from water infiltration and UV degradation.
